Longest Total Solar Eclipse


July 22, 2009, Today, It was the Total Solar Eclipse of the 21 century.And the sad thing is It's raining outside and only I could see the clouds eclipsing the sun and denying it's visibility. Got up exactly at 6:22 for the 6:30 episode but it did not occur

Many parts of India experienced a total solar eclipse -- the sun was blocked by the moon completely for an estimated one minute, which could go up to five minutes -- from 5.28 am to 7.40 am.


The next solar eclipse of this kind is estimated to occur in the next century on June 13, 2132.
